How I Work
Therapy isn’t a straight line. Healing has its own rhythm, and my role as a trauma-informed somatic therapist is to walk alongside you—sometimes slowing things down so your nervous system can notice, digest, and truly integrate what’s coming up, rather than rushing past it.
Progress doesn’t always mean speed; it means depth, presence, and staying with what matters.
A Trauma-Informed Somatic Approach
My work is depth-oriented, trauma-informed, and somatic. I’m currently training in Somatic Experiencing® (founded by Peter A. Levine, PhD), a body-based therapy that helps us work with the wisdom of the nervous system to support regulation, safety, and resilience.
In sessions, we pay attention not only to your thoughts and emotions, but to what's happening in your body and nervous system. Much of what we carry lives beneath awareness—in patterns of tension, reaction, and protection. Together, we build awareness, regulation, and self-trust from the inside out.
An Integrative Therapy Process
I draw from a blend of therapeutic modalities depending on what feels most alive and relevant for you—including somatic therapy, relational therapy, parts-based work, narrative exploration, Gestalt, and evidence-based approaches like EFT, DBT, CBT, and ACT.
Healing isn't one-size-fits-all. Each session is shaped by your needs in the moment and grounded in a collaborative process.
What You Can Expect in Therapy
In our work together, you can expect me to meet you with curiosity, honesty, and care. We’ll look beneath the surface, explore the roots of what you’re carrying, and move at a pace that supports real meaningful change—not just insight.
This work asks for patience and participation. Therapy is not passive, and your willingness to show up and engage is part of what creates growth.
My style is equal parts compassionate, direct, and—when helpful—lighthearted. Humor can be a powerful companion when the work feels heavy, and a reminder that healing can include lightness, too.
Session Structure
I typically see clients once a week for 50-minute sessions, creating a consistent space to land, reflect, and grow.
